Localize the know-how and way-for

Get the wind in (or near) the demand centers.
Big wind counts on the consumer paying for new transmission lines. This will easily run consumer/taxpayer $120 billion and rob the industry of credibility. Instead of importing wind from the blue areas on the map at an extra 30-40% for non-existent transmission lines, utilities should be offering premium prices to homes, small business, and community wind/solar projects in or near demand centers. Base PRICE on proximity to DEMAND!

Community wind projects are bound together by their local ownership. However, each community wind project is unique and reflects the particular set of circumstances and resources available to the project.
